Uvalo is a single by a South African DJ commonly known as Mvzzle, released on April 24, 2020 under Warner Music South Africa, the single features vocals from singer-songwriter Ndu Shezi with production from Mvzzle. The single serves as Mvzzle's debut release for a major label.[2][3]
Background
Translated to English Uvalo means Fear.
After working on Umlilo, DJ Zinhle introduced Mvzzle to Ndu Shezi with the preconception that they would work together to produce Mvzzle's single and, as time went by, DJ Zinhle's wish came to fruition as Mvzzle and Ndu Shezi hit the studio in early 2020.[4][3]
The single was first teased on Facebook through Warner Music South Africa's official page with a snippet of approximately 45 seconds.[5]
Composition and lyrics
Uvalo is a house track with upbeat instrumentals, with vocals from the singer-songwriter celebrating and cherishing love.[4]
Music video
After Mvzzle finalised a recording deal with Warner Music South Africa he released the visuals of Uvalo later that year on the 27th of August on YouTube.[6][7][2][3]
