He is the founder and presenter of About Here[2] whose team create videos[3] independently[4] and for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.[5]

PLANifax[edit]

He graduated with a degree in Community Design from Dalhousie University.

While in university he started producing videos on city issues in Halifax, Nova Scotia[6][7] and writing a column and creating videos for The Coast (newspaper).[8] In 2015 he created the app HFX moves which helps people find shortcuts when navigating around the city.[9] He was named in the 2017 Corporate Knights 30-under-30 in sustainability.[10]

He co-founded the urban issue video co-operative PLANifax in 2014[11] which produces videos in partnership with The Coast[12] on their own website and channel.[13]

About Here[edit]

Uytae relocated to Vancouver in 2018 and begun producing videos again[14] under the name About Here which has resulted in a number of videos being commissioned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.[15]

Their videos for the CBC cover urban planning[16] economic[17] and environmental topics[18] in addition to contributing a regular column. The separate About Here YouTube channel independently covers similar topics[19] and advocates for changes to city policy like increases to density.[5]
