Valmore Augustus Whitaker (born March 14, 1835) was an American businessman and politician who served as a member and President of the city council[2] and as the Acting Mayor of North Adams, Massachusetts.

Whitaker was born March 14, 1835 in North Adams, Massachusetts[1] to Ezra D. Whitaker[1] and Amanda M. (Jones) Whitaker.[5]
1905 election for mayor[edit]
In 1905 Whitaker was the Republican candidate for mayor, he lost to the Incumbent Mayor Marshall R. Ford.[6]
