Valters Melderis (born 25 January 1985) also known as valciic, is a Latvian computer scientist, children's animator and darts player who competes in both World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events.

A regular PDC Nordic & Baltic Tour competitor, Melderis became the second Latvian to compete on the PDCNB tour after fellow countryman Madars Razma. In 2025 he won his first PDC Nordic Baltic event in Sweden.

Career

Melderis came third in the Latvian Championship, in 2022 he won the Estonia Open, Kaunas Open and Kassiaru Open, which resulted in Valters climbing to the top 100 in the WDF ranking ladder, after this achievement: he qualified for Latvia's 2023 WDF World Cup team, but he got eliminated against Danny Lauby Jr..

In 2024, he qualified for the Latvian 2024 PDC World Cup of Darts team alongside Madars Razma. They ended up losing to France (Thibault Tricole and Jacques Labre) before defeating Denmark (Benjamin Drue Reus and Claus Nielsen).

In 2025 he also qualified for the Latvia team pairing up again with frontman Madars Razma, but they failed to make it out the group stage again. Failing to beat both; Philippines (Lourence Ilagan and Paolo Nebrida) and Belgium (Mike De Decker and Dimitri Van den Bergh) continuing their 2-year drought of making out the group stages of a World Cup.

Personal life

Melderis is a computer scientist and animates for children's shows, he goes by his nickname “valciic”.
