Imre Kis (born 11. December 1989), professionally known as Van Snyder is an Austrian record producer and DJ. Snyder specializes in electronic dance music and is regarded as one of the genre's most prolific artists. He is currently signed with Warner Music Denmark[1], UFO Recordz[2], Tiger Records[3], Zero Cool Records[4], TurnItUp Muzik (Black Hole Recordings)[5], BODYWRMR (Revealed Recordings)[6] and Global Rockstar[7]. Snyder is the recipient of the YouTube Silver Play Button Award. He has garnered over 168.000 subscribers on YouTube, 1.400.000 followers on Facebook, and about 3.600.000 followers on Instagram.[8]
Snyder debuted in the music industry with his single Start Again amongst other songs that ranked in several European DJ and dance charts.[9] In due course of his career, Snyder has made an official collaboration with Bonnie Tyler and produced remixes for industry giants like Flo Rida, Lil Wayne, Akon, and T-Pain.[10][11][12][13] He has even gained substantial support from leading DJs such as Afrojack, Nicky Romero, R3HAB, Blasterjaxx, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, to name a few. Early life and educations[edit]
Snyder was born on 11th December 1989 to Imre Kis Senior and Klara Kis. He grew up in Siegersdorf, where he completed his primary education. He then enrolled in a secondary school in Tulln, from which he graduated in 2004 and then went to the Polytechnicum School.
Career[edit]
Snyder started DJing when he was 16 years old. Initially, he played at private parties, and within two years, he began producing EDM.[16] Since then, Snyder has released a number of singles that have been recorded and recognized as a great success in the European DJ and dance charts between 2009 and 2010. One of his early songs, Start Again, released in 2011, has also been remixed by Michael Mind Project[17], a German House DJ, and music production duo.[18]
In 2014 Van Snyder has released together with Blutonium Boy the Headhunterz Remix of "Make It Loud".
Snyder, in his diversified career, has worked with several renowned artists such as Bonnie Tyler, Klaas[19], PH Electro, and others. He has also made remixes for multiple AAA listers like Bonnie Tyler, Flo Rida, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Akon and others which were released by top record labels including Sony Music Entertainment and Kontor Records.[20][21] His song "Be Mine (Dave Ruthwell & Mr. Sid VIP Mix)" got played at Tomorrowland 2022 on the Mainstage.[22] In October 2022 he released a new cover version of Show Me Love in collaboration with Jonas Schmidt and TOROK feat. Laura Klein. This song got remixed by Plastik Funk & Esox and was released on the major label Warner Music Denmark. The song also got played on one of Denmarks biggest radio stations DR P3.[23][24]
