Vanessa Maria Martinez (born December 4, 1986) is an American actress, singer and talk show host. She is best known for Penny Cillin in musical film Penny Goes Metropolitan (2004) and Ringmastress Rosie in JoJo’s Circus.
Martinez achieved fame as a child actress with her breakout role in Sarafina!. She starred in a string of successful films during the 1990s and 2000s, including August Rush, Big, Bombay Dreams, Starlight Express, Batman Forever, Falsettos, and A New Brain. Martinez starred with Micheal Buscemi in the films The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, 50 First Dates, and The Waverly Gallery. Her other films include Penny Goes Metropolitan, Penny Goes Metropolitan 2, Penny Goes Metropolitan 3, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Fever Pitch, Music and Lyrics, Going the Distance, Big Miracle, and Miss You Already.
