Vanilo is an open-source e-commerce platform written in PHP. It was built on top of the Laravel framework. Vanilo source code is distributed under MIT Software License.

The software was originally developed by an E-commerce Agency called Artkonekt with Attila Fülöp as the main contributor and with assistance from volunteers.
Vanilo development has started in mid-2016, and on December 11, 2017 the first public beta version v0.1 was released.
Version 1.0 was released on November 11, 2019. Version 2.0 was released on October 11, 2020.
The company Vanilo UG was founded in May 2020 in Berlin, and the development of the software has been continued within the framework of the new company that focuses on Vanilo.
