Varun Inamdar is a chef of Indian origin, he works in the domain of pastry ,chocolate , Indo-western influenced cooking seen on his Youtube Channel the Bombay Chef. He is also a food stylist ,an author and has worked at executive level at the Oberoi Hotels and Resorts.[1][2]

Early Life and Education[edit]

Inamdar was born in Mumbai, then known as Bombay in 1984 and has spent most of his life in the city. Inamdar studied at St. Xavier’s High School, Vile Parle

He is an alumnus of the prestigious 'Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development', in India,[3] He is married to Tejashree Rasal, He started as a dishwasher at a restaurant called Out of the blue in Bandra[4], . He authored 'Celebrate Life, Food and Wine' an unusual subject of pairing Indian flavour notes with Indian wines .[5]. As a chocolatier, he is the Brand Ambassador of Ecuadorian cocoa in India and represents India at world forums and seminars[6]. He has created a 6 feet tall; life size Edible Chocolate Mannequin and Chocolate Ganesha[7][8] . He has curated a luxurious private gifting label 'Barcode-artisanal chocolates' which celebrates 'Incredible India' with its 29 flavour bars, each representing indigenous produce of its 29 states .[9][10][11][12]

Varun Inamdar styles the Food on his Youtube Channel the Bombay CHef. Varun Inamdar has styled UTSAV' - A culinary epic of Indian Festivals by Chef Vikas Khanna, published by Bloomsbury USA. [13]. He was conferred upon with the most coveted restaurant award as 'Food Stylist of the Year' in association with Restaurants India and Franchise India[14][15]
