Vasile Gârneț (born 3 February 1958, Hănășenii Noi, Lăpușna county, Republic of Moldova) is a poet, publicist, novelist, translator, essayist and writer from the Republic of Moldova, director of the young writers' magazine "Contrafort", which appears in Chisinau.[1]
Biography[edit]
Vasile Gârnetă graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the University of Chișinău (1983). He is a member of the Union of Writers from the Republic of Moldova and Romania and a member of the PEN Club. He was a book editor and editor-in-chief at the Hyperion Publishing House in Chișinău, and since 1994 he has been the director of Contrafort magazine,[2] a publication of young writers from the Republic of Moldova.
