Ventures park is an Innovation hub and Coworking space for the technology community in Abuja, Nigeria.[1][2][3] It was founded in June 2016 by Kola Aina[4] an Entrepreneur and Investor, in partnership with Ernest Danjuma Enebi.

The coworking space is located at No 5, Kwaji Close, Maitama, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.[5] It's a nexus for technologists, investors, young entrepreneurs, designers, researchers and programmers.

Ventures Park is the first tech hub in Northern Nigeria, and hosted the former CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey when he visited Nigeria.[6]

Facilities[edit]

Ventures Park provides a space where members can receive mentorship, business support services, access to startup and product development related workshops and events, and the possibility of venture funding through connections with her sister company Venture Platforms[7] The space is a tech community facility with a focus on startup founders, programmers, designers, researchers, creatives and academicians.

Ventures Park Campus[edit]

It's a 2,000-sq-meter hub located in Maitama, Abuja, and has the capacity to accommodate over 200 people. It has private and shared offices, dedicated desks, restaurants, and spaces designed to host events, conferences, fun activities, and many more. On the walls of the campus are displays of several contemporary Nigerian arts to improve space members' cognitive function. It is open to NGOs, international agencies such as the United Nations, as well as researchers and professors.[8][9][10]

Purple Lekki Partnership[edit]

Purple Lekki and Ventures Park announced earlier in February 2022 that both companies have entered into a strategic partnership for an iconic private office / co-working space. It will serve as more than an office, but a tech incubation hub enabling entrepreneurs, freelancers, and brilliant minds, with shared attitudes, interests, and goals.[11][12]

Visitation[edit]

The Vice President of Nigeria Prof. Yemi Osinbajo alongside the British Secretary For Africa & International Development, Harriett Baldwin[13][14]visited the hub,[15] and they interacted with Startup founders and Young Entrepreneurs.

Events[edit]

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with EpiAFRIC, Reboot, and Nigeria Health Watch (NHW), organized a hackathon on the management of Covid-19 waste tagged #Hack4COVIDWaste which was held at the hub on 15th - 16th October 2021.[16]

Also, the UK Government organized a business meeting on the 29th of August 2018, where the Minister of State for Africa, Harriett Baldwin announced a new £70-million program to create 100,000 jobs in Nigeria.[17]
