Vibe is a heavy metal/alternative rock band from Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was formed in 2001 and is not active anymore since 2008. Vibe was one of the leading emerging heavy metal band of Bangladesh of this century, with Artcell, Cryptic Fate etc. bands. [1] but is no longer active since 2007.[2]

History and albums[edit]

Vibe was formed in 2001, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In 2003, their first track was released in mixed album "Agontuk 1". This album also contained tracks from bands like Aurthohin, Artcell, Black, Cryptic Fate and Poizon Green. Vibe's track "Dure Dure" was welcomed by rock song listeners of that time.

In 2007, a few weeks before Eid Day, Vibe introduced their first full-length album- "Chena Jogot" in the label of G Series. This album contains 11 tracks.[3] Vibe introduced their first full-length album- "Chena Jogot" in the label of G Series. This album contains 11 tracks.[4]

"Chena Jogot" was highly praised by listeners and scored a positive appraisal from the critics. In 2008, their another track "Otripto Pran" was released i mixed album "Underground 2".

Members[edit]

Founding members of Vibe were Shuddho Fuad Sadi, Sabbir Hossain Turjo, Mahjuj Jasim Sourav, Saber Ahmed Khan and Wali Muhammad Akbar. In 2002, Mahjuj Jasim Sourav left Vibe. Tanvir took over Sourav's place in 2003. In 2004, the band recruited Mashfiq, just after Tanvir left. The final line-up of Vibe was-

Inactivity and present condition[edit]

Meanwhile in 2007, Vibe won Citycell-Channel i Music Award for Best Band. Vibe performed their last big show in 2008, at Mohakhali, Dhaka.[5] After releasing its debut album, the band starts to become inactive, though they performed regularly from 2001 to 2008. The band members began to be dismantled and got busy with personal lives. Since then Vibe was not seen performing anywhere or being active in music field. Saber Ahmed Khan and Shuddho Fuad Sadi is currently staying abroad, while Saleh Hasan Oni and Wali Muhammad Akbar is in Bangladesh. Later Saleh Hasan Oni was the lead guitarist of another prominent rock band of Bangladesh Warfaze.
