Victory Baptist Church is an Independent Fundamental Baptist (IFB) megachurch located in North Augusta, South Carolina. The church operates several ministries, including a K–12 school, a college, and a preschool, and is known for its evangelistic outreach.

History

Victory Baptist Church was founded in 1975 by Dr. R. Larry Brown with a small group meeting in his home.[1] Under his leadership, the church experienced significant growth and added a school, college, and multiple campus buildings. Dr. Brown passed away in 2021, after which plans for a new Early Learning Center were announced in his memory.[2]

Leadership

Since 2019, the senior pastor has been evangelist and musician Christopher "C.T." Townsend, who also oversees Victory Baptist College. Townsend is the founder of the Arise Youth Conference and frequently travels as a speaker and gospel singer.[3]

Campus and Ministries

The church campus includes:

  • Victory Christian School – A private K–12 Christian school founded in 1978[4]
