History

Founding

Metro Church was founded by Dr. David Stine and his wife, Taryn Stine, on September 9, 2007.

Pastor David Stine

As Lead Pastor of Metro Church, Dr. David Stine is known for his practical biblical teaching, his visionary leadership, and his passion to help people come to know Christ, get planted in God’s house, and become transformational leaders who work together to build a God-first culture throughout major metropolitan areas.

Shortly after coming to Christ in college, David knew there was a call on his life to full-time ministry and sensed God leading him to seminary at Regent University, where he earned his Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Practical Theology and his Doctoral Degree (D.Min) in Leadership. Before David and Taryn moved to DC, he was in full-time ministry for twelve years, including a role as the Senior Associate Pastor at Celebration Church (a non-denominational church with 10,000 in weekly attendance) in Jacksonville, Florida.
