Videvo is stock footage provider and video library [2] that licences royalty free stock footage [3] [4] and motion graphics . Founded in 2012 Videvo is based in Oxford and the site contains over 6,000 videos across stock footage and motion graphics.

Contributors[edit]

Videvo accepts video files from video artists through a moderated clip upload system. Users must be registered for a free account to upload files and Users can choose to license their clips under Creative Commons 3.0 (CC-BY) or the Videvo Standard License. Users can add metadata for each upload, including a title, description and keywords. Files must be less than 100Mb and adhere to international copyright laws to be accepted. In addition, each clip is moderated for both artistic and technical quality.

Videvo currently licenses video clips in one of 3 ways[5] Videvo Standard License: Allows users to download clips for free [6] [7] for worldwide perpetual use, without the need to credit the author of the video. Videvo Attribution License: Allows users to download clips for free for worldwide perpetual use, providing the user gives a credit to the author of the video. Creative Commons 3.0 (CC-BY) There are no restrictions on the distribution channels in which videos may be published. For example, web, broadcast, live performances and books [8] are all permitted under the license conditions. However, if a clip has been marked as Editorial Use Only, the use of the clip in commercial projects is strictly prohibited.
