Vidooly Media Tech Pvt Ltd is a cross-platform online video analytics company based out of Delhi NCR, India. Since its inception, Vidooly has become an industry benchmark by evolving from being just a video analytics company to an organisation that produces real-time actionable insights which are used by brands, agencies, multi-channel networks (MCNs), Video Publishers and content creators for content strategy, optimization, competitor benchmarking, media planning & other video marketing efforts across all major social media platforms.[3]
History
Vidooly was incorporated and launched in November 2014 by three entrepreneurs, Subrat Kar, Ajay Mishra, and Nishant Radia as an analytics and online video intelligence platform. In 2014, Vidooly became a part of the accelerator program being run by TLabs, which is a Times Internet-backed startup incubator.[4] To increase its penetration in Over-the-top content (OTT), this Noida based company acquired iNiD Digimedia Pvt. Ltd for an undisclosed amount in 2016. The acquired counterpart used to run an over-the-top content (OTT) platform iCouchApp which had assets and intellectual property including its advanced technology that powers mobile applications of TV giants like Zee TV and History TV18.[5] In May 2017, Vidooly raised its Series A funding of $1.4 million (Rs 8.9 crore) from GVFL (Gujarat Venture Finance Limited) and Times Internet. In September 2018, Vidooly entered into the $100 billion online gaming and Esports market with its new offering, “eSports Analytics.”[6] With new and innovative offerings for video analysis, the company was able to secure Series C round of funding worth $2 million from Alibaba (Netherlands) BV and existing investor Times Internet in early 2019. Alibaba invested Rs 14.3 crore while the remaining amount of Rs 71 lakh came from Times Internet.[7]
Data collection, Software & Other Service
According to its data-collection page, Vidooly tracks a large amount of online video viewership data from significant video platforms to process it in terms of Video Image Fingerprinting, Content mapping, real-time Video Updates, Audience Behavior, Ad tracking, and Sponsored content. It also uses YouTube's public API to meet the data demands of signed up creators on its creator tool and provides them in-depth insights for Video optimization. Vidooly provides CMS platform to YouTube multi-channel networks (MCNs) to manage more YouTube channels with their analytics at a single place.[8] Vidooly also started a popular live stream to show the subscriber difference between T-Series and PewDiePie in an online competition.[9][10]
