Vidyasagar is a 1950 Bengali biographical drama film directed by Kali Prasad Ghosh. The story is based on the life of a famous Bengali Philosopher, Academic Educator, Writer, Translator, Philanthropist, Publisher, Reformer, Entreprenuer named Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.The film stars Pahari Sanyal, Kamal Mitra, Gurudas Bannerjee, Tarakumar Bhaduri, Chhabi Biswas and Utpal Dutt. The film was a revolution in the history of Indian Bengali cinema. It was 1st Bengali movie that was a highest-grosser. It was the 1st Indian movie that got a CBFC Certificate from Indian censor board. The film research and supervisor was done by Agradoot.
