Early life
Vijay Kanishka was born on October 14, 1995 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to director Vikraman[1] and Kuchipudi dancer Jayapriya. Coming from an artistic family, his interests were always inclined towards cinema. He completed his school education at Lady Andal, Chennai[2]. He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from SRM Easwari Engineering College[3], Chennai. He has a younger sister, Pooja Prathyusha.
Career
After graduation, Vijay Kanishka took professional acting classes from S. S. Kalairani, a prominent Koothu Pattrai[4] theatre actor. He learned dancing from Sridhar Master[5] and stunts from Power Pandi Master[6].
His professional acting career started in 2022 through his debut film, Hitlist[7], produced by R. K. Celluloids, by Director K. S. Ravikumar[8]. The movie is expected to release at the end of 2023.
