Priya Prakash Varrier (born 12 September 1999), is an Indian movie actress and model. She is currently pursuing a B.Com degree from Vimala College Thrissur.[3]
Biography
Priya was born in Punkunnam, Thrissur, Kerala, India. In 2017 she began her career in modeling. She has acted in a few short movies and also walked the ramp at various fashion designers’ events. She has also trained in Mohiniyattam and participated in beauty pageants.[4]
Priya Prakash Varrier acted in ‘’’Oru Adaar Love’’’, a Malayalam movie which was released in March 2018. The director of the movie ‘’’Oru Adaar Love’’’ was Omar Lulu[5]. Her facial expressions in one of the songs in this movie made her famous on social media within a few hours after the song was released.[6][7]

Controversy
Some Hindu and Muslim representatives from some parts of India were unhappy with Priya Prakash Varrier as they claimed it hurt the sentiments of Muslims, saying that it made an exact reference to Prophet Muhammad's wife and filed a complaint against Priya and the song Manikya Malaraya Puvi from Oru Adaar Love.[14][15][16]
