Vikas Shakya is an Indian model and choreographer, based in Uttar Pradesh. Prior to becoming a part of Indian Fashion Industry, Shakya was an agriculturist. He is also the winner of India's national level contests like Mr. India Icon Season 2 and 'Model of the Year Season 3'. Shakya is also a choreographer, and has worked for numerous fashion shows such as Mr. & Miss. India Culture in Ayodhya Mahotsav 2022, Miss India Era 2022 and Mr. & Miss India Icon 2022. He made his modelling debut in 2021 and is also an Awadh Ratna awardee. [2][3][4][5] He has been associated with numerous brands traversing across fields such as lifestyle, beauty and travel.[6][7] Shakya also won Josh TRENDSETTER award at an event organised in Varanasi.[8][9][10]
Life and career
Shakya belongs to a small city of Uttar Pradesh called Ghazipur. He was born and brought up in a middle-class farmer family.[11] He is an alumnus of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, from where he has pursued his Masters in Agriculture Genetics and Plant Breeding. He completed his early education from Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Public School, Gazipur and completed his diploma in Yoga from Banaras Hindu University.[5]
