Viki Vortex and the Cumshots are an alternative punk band formed in 2008 in Girona, Spain by Steve Manuell from 70s punk band, The Spurts and Viki Vortex. Described as 77 girl-fronted melodic British punk rock, covering themes like politics, sex, fun and frolics, songs are bass-led with a hint of Buzzcocks and a touch of rockabilly[1] playing straight up punk rock with no bells and whistles.[2]

Their debut gig was in the summer of 2008 in Spain with a local drummer, but later they recruited drummer Theo from UK psychobilly band, The Long Tall Texans to join the crew, thus completing the lineup.

Their style is simple fast punk. According to Louder Than War: "The band keep things deceptively simple but to the point and solos are very much at a minimum although Steve’s clanging guitar and Theo’s clipped drumming are stylish and restrained. It suits the music and helps them stand out..."[3] Brighton and Hove News describes them as "Ramones with a female singer".[4]

In August 2023, they released their 6th cd entitled Toxic Timebomb. The 12 tracks were recorded and mixed in eight hours at Brighton Road Recording Studios. Daryl Smith, guitarist from legendary group Cock Sparrer, added guitar work on the 4th track, Time's Up. Del Strangefish, guitarist from other legendary group Peter and the Test Tube Babies, added his guitar to the 6th track, Toxic.
