Vina Love, the daughter of ‘The World’s Greatest DJ’ Kid Capri, is a gifted singer-songwriter, professional dancer and performer, born in New York City. As a very small child, she quickly absorbed sound, melody & tune – which focused all of her natural attention to music & dance. Anyone that’s worked with her notes that she has an exceptional understanding of rhythm and writing abilities for all genres. Aside from her impeccable stage presence, she connects with the audience.
Vina first appeared on the music scene while attending the Performing Arts school Manhattan Theater Lab H.S. and American Music and Dramatic Academy (AMADA). She then began performing at local events and some of the hottest venues in NYC (ex. Copacabana, Apollo, SOB’s, BB Kings – just to name a few); soon the requests followed for appearances at colleges & universities. After building up a large following & presence on YouTube & Instagram, she focused on demos – to mostly sampled tracks – and built on great music of iconic artists as a tribute. Vina Love is currently working on an all-original EP with a montage of versatile producers from all over the country.
"Working with my Dad surprisingly feels more normal than I thought it would," Love said. "He tells me all the time to keep my head up and my eyes open, be firm in my decisions, work hard and to always remain humble."[1]
Being the daughter of the Legendary Kid Capri, Vina Love embraces family and the help she receives from them. For example, her mom has been her manager and creative director. Her mom and assistant designed the set for one of her music videos, while her twin cousins starred in it. She is also blessed to have a sister who is an artist, in which she assists with painting her bodysuits for her visuals. Also, her brother is her choreographer. As you can see, family is very important and very much involved with Vina Love and her career.[2]
