Vince Murdock (born March 21, 1991) is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Bellator.
Early life and career[edit]
Vince Murdock was born on March 21, 1991 in Lapeer, Michigan, United States.
Mixed martial arts career[edit]
Bellator MMA[edit]
Murdock made his Bellator MMA debut on March 21, 2013 at Bellator 93 vs. John Raio, winning via TKO (punches).[3] His next bout was against Jeremiah Labiano at Bellator 165, losing via unanimous decision.[4]
Ultimate Fighting Championship[edit]
On June 13, 2019, it was announced that Chas Skelly pulled out of the fight against Jordan Griffin at UFC on ESPN 3 citing his injury.[5] Griffin was then booked to face Vince Murdock.[6][7]
However, on June 27, Murdock announced he was not medically cleared to compete and the bout was removed from the card.[8] On September 5, 2019 it was reported that Murdock received a 20 month suspension by USADA, tested positive for GW1516, better known Cardarine and often sold on the black market as Endurobol on a sample collected on July 6, 2019.[9]
Personal life[edit]
In May 2019, Murdock proposed to his long-term girlfriend, Kira Feightner, using a tattoo on his left knee.[10]
