Vincent Kosmos is a spin-off to the popular Damon Dark webseries. It focuses on a rogue Time-Thief, bent on stealing valuable pieces of art and flirting with women. However, the series focuses more on Kosmos's confrontation with other alien enemies. Vincent's travelling in time and space with his red door, a sort of dimensional gate (created in 3d by 3d artist Trea Cotton, actually working on Thor movie).
Vincent Kosmos started in 2008 (after the Damon Dark episode "The Time-Thief"), starring the title character and his ship, the P.I.R. (Pyramidal Interstellar Rapid). The show's creator is Chris Heaven, an Italian professional musician and soundtrack composer. His collaborations include the soundtracks of the movies Millennium: Apocalypse, Hell House: The Book Of Samiel and The Bailout. As an actor, Heaven appeared on the Italian movie Garibaldi: Il Generale and in a commercial with Italian actress Vanessa Gravina.[1] He collaborates with Adrian Sherlock, who plays Damon Dark in the parent show.
Although Vincent and Damon have yet to meet on-screen, they collaborate by appearing on each other's computer screens, including in the episode "Rakshadar".
Recently Jason D. Morris directed a trailer for the new Vincent Kosmos season.[2]. In 2009 Vincent Kosmos series was broadcast on first Italian web TV "Cara TV" alongside other science fiction series, such as Doctor Who. In 2011, Heaven appeared on the Italian TV Show Social King on RAI network in character as Vincent Kosmos [3][4]
In 2012 Vincent Kosmos became a recurring "trouble-maker" character on a TV show called Joey's Garage (Quartarete).[5]
The Vincent Kosmos character is not related to Vince Cosmos - Glam Rock Detective created by Paul Magrs and played by Julian Rhind-Tutt for Bafflegab Productions.[6]
Vincent Kosmos has been reviewed and its influence on related web series noted in the book Internet Horror, Science Fiction and Fantasy Television by Vincent Terrace, which documents the rise of internet series as a new medium of entertainment.
In 2017 Kosmos has been added on IMDB with all episodes and cast.
In 2011 an unknown actress called Kelly Marie Tran (later on Star Wars: The Last Jedi ) played the part of Maria in the episode "Skin Trade". [7]
Aliens and enemies[edit]
Over time, Vincent has encountered many alien threats. The most infamous of them are the S.O.C.R.A.D.S., who since appearing alongside Damon Dark, have appeared more in the parent show rather than the spin-off. Another popular enemy of Vincent is the Black Slime, which was revealed to be the creator of the Socrads. Many of Kosmos's enemies are sexy women like Morgana, Medea, Deemora and the female robots Femborgs.
Collaborations[edit]
Vincent has appeared alongside Damon Dark, and another new recent spin-off to the Damon Dark series known as the Lansing Chronicles.
Genre[edit]
Due to the general comedic tone of the show, Vincent Kosmos has a very different tone to Damon Dark.
