Vindhyapuram is a village in the Pathanamthitta District of Kerala, India. It is about 18 km from the railway station in Thiruvalla.
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census, Vindhyapuram had a population of 34,985 with 17,268 males and 17,717 females.[1]
Etymology
Vindhya means "Knowledge" in and Puram means "Town" in Malayalam. Hence, Vindhyapuram means "Town of Knowledge".
Geography
The borders of the village are mostly delineated by Hills or canals, and include the villages of Vellayil, Ezhumattoor, Thadiyoor and Chalappally, and Municipality of Ranni.
