Carlos Vinicius Piccoli (July 11, 1990 – October 14, 2020) was an Brazilian model.

Early life[edit]

Piccoli was born in Xanxerê and grew up in Abelardo Luz.[1] His parents are Carmen Rita Bortoncello, a school director, and Cézar Carlos Piccoli, a agricultural mechanic. He is older brother of Cézar Eduardo and Carlos Henrique.[1][2]

Before becoming a model, he worked in his father's workshop also as agricultural mechanic.[1]

Fashion career[edit]

Piccoli debuted in the fashion world in 2010, on the catwalks of São Paulo Fashion Week and of Rio Fashion Week.[3][4][5] He starred in numerous advertising campaigns for several brands, as Acostamento, Vide Bula, Lado Avesso, TNG, Dudalina, Ilícito, Yonders, Malwee, O Boticário and New Era Cap Company.[1][6]

He was hired by several agencies and worked in several countries, including Brazil (40º Graus Models, Mega Model and Way Model), Italy (Independent Model), United States (Muse Model and The Industry Model) and Germany (Louisa Models).[1][7]

In 2018, he paraded in Italy for Dolce & Gabbana and in the fashion show Milan Fashion Week.[8] Also was photographed for magazine HUF.[9]

Death[edit]

In May 2020, Piccoli was diagnosed with a rare tumor and your family started an online campaign to get cash donations to pay for his treatment. The model developed symptoms two months before, while passing a season working in Africa, where he presented the swelling body.[10]

Piccoli died on October 14, 2020, after several months of fighting a rare tumor that started in the nasal cavities, called esthesioneuroblastoma.[11][6]
