Virginie Laverdure is an Australian actress of Mauritian heritage and is best known for her portrayal of Dr. Sophia Nathan in NBC La Brea (TV series). Most recently, Laverdure featured in Netflix’s newest original series Wellmania alongside Celeste Barber.
Career
Virginie Laverdure is an Australian actress of Mauritian heritage. In 2022, Virginie played opposite Sam Neill and Marta Dusseldorp in The Twelve, featured as Abigail in the The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series with Morfydd Clark, and starred as Evette in David Burrows’ short film, BUG. 2022 was a full year, but Virginie is best known on our national and international screens as Dr. Sophia Nathan in NBC La Brea (TV series).
Most recently, Virginie starred as Valrie Jones in Netflix's Wellmania with Celeste Barber and Catherine Tate. She also featured as Abigail in Amazon Prime's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Although confidential, 2024 is looking to be an exciting year with notable credits for a feature film (Walt Disney Studios). After studying at the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Arts in 2015, Virginie has built a successful and busy career that spans film, television, stage, and voiceovers.
