Vital Silvere Mevengue (born June 20, 1978 in Douala) is a former professional Cameroonian footballer.

History[edit]

Mevengue began playing football at the Lycée d'Obala. He joined Elite Two side Etoile d'Efok in 1997, and a season later he moved to Elite Two rivals Achille FC de Sa'a. In 1999, Mevengue was signed by Elite One side Espérance Guider. After leading the club to a seventh-place finish, Mevengue moved to Cotonsport Garoua. With Cotonsport, he won Elite One titles in 2003 and 2004, a Cameroonian Cup title in 2003, and helped the club reach the final of the 2003 CAF Cup.[1][2]

Mevengue captained leading Cameroonian side Cotonsport Garoua. In 2005, he left the team and moved to Impôts FC. In January 2006 he moved from Impôts FC to Beninese top club Lions de l'Atakory.

National Team[edit]

Mevengue scored a penalty in the final of the 2003 CEMAC Cup, the football championship of Central African nations, while playing for the Cameroonian Amateur national team.[3]
