Vitaliy Dmitrijevich Vlasenko, born 12 September 1964, Kiev, Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian painter, art theoretician, creator of the nano-technology artworks and transpersonal luminism. His works are mostly nano-art and watercolors.
Life[edit]
Vitalij Vlasenko was born in Kiev, Ukraine, to an engineer and a land surveyor.
Between 1982 and 1985, he served in the Soviet Navy SEALs.
While in University, he provided volunteer service in Chernobyl, Ukraine after the nuclear disaster and in Spitak, Armenia after the earthquake of 1988.
As a student he actively participated in politics, being involved in the creation of the People’s Movement of Ukraine (1st Party Congress) and organization of the student protests in Kiev.
Vitalij Vlasenko studied at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. After graduating in city planning, he decided to become a freelancer and began creating street art in Kiev. During this time, Vitalij Vlasenko. developed many other interests, including music and poetry. He started collecting music recordings by V. Silvestov and A. Schnittke and avant-garde period books, mainly by A.Kruchenykh.
Shortly after, he took trips first to China and then to Munich, Bavaria in order to find artistic inspiration.
He stayed in Germany for some time studying Old Master European Art. There Vitalij Vlasenko. produced a series of paintings of Berlin and developed his own watercolor painting style.
In 1992, Vitalij Vlasenko. visited Strahov Monastery in Prague, which became his patron of the arts. He remained in the Czech capital, where he opened his art school “Vitalstudio”, a gallery ̶“Prague in Heart” ̶ and started a street art project called “Grande Classic Panorama”.
At the same time, he approached a group of physicists at the Institute for Metal Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He started a very important relationship with Panarin and Deino founding their own art movement: trans-personal luminsm. In the studio-laboratory, they created unique paintings using vacuum cameras, ferromagnets, and plasma cannons while also working on metal sculptures with “metal memory”.
In the early 20’s, upon being invited to Japan by Shig Tsukasa, Vitalij Vlasenko. created the series of paintings in the style of Post-Impressionism for the company Ceremony.corp.
Between 2000 and 2015, he organized art exhibitions and street art projects in cities all around Europe and was actively involved in promoting experimental art.
Currently living in Prague, Vitalij Vlasenko. travels around the world, working and implementing his art projects.
He propagates the notion of “vsechestvo” and appeals to the works of A.Kruchenykh, V. Silvestrov, A.Jodorowsky, Tarkowsky, Ilizard-Zdanevich, Jogin-Patandzali and others.
A lot of art projects are made in collaboration with artists. Together with film editor and camera operator Tomas Velecky, Vitalij Vlasenko. started a project about composer V.Silvestov “Free-odpovedi” on YouTube. Every year Vitalij Vlasenko. produces a set of plein airs while touring the Canary Islands with an artist Vladimir Kamynin.
