The Vivo X1 is a mid-range Android smartphone developed by Vivo Communication Technology Co.. This phone is the first phone of the Vivo X series made by Vivo and it was first released in November 20, 2012 in China. The Vivo X1 featured a slim design with round bezels, and is very thin, measuring 6.55mm thick, making it one of the thinnest smartphones in date.[3]
A similar model, Vivo X1S (also known as Vivo X1St) was released in March 2013[4], which provides some upgrades to the original Vivo X1, such as sporting a faster chipset than the one found in Vivo X1. The Vivo X1 and Vivo X1S is later succeeded by Vivo X3 in August 22, 2013.
During the launch date, the Vivo X1 started from ¥2498 ($344.97) with the 16 GB ROM + 1 GB RAM configuration.[5]

Display
The Vivo X1 has a 4.7 inch (120 mm) TFT LCD display with 540 × 960 resolution, while the Vivo X1S has a 4.7 inch IPS LCD display with 720 × 1280 resolution.
Storage & Memory
The Vivo X1 has an internal storage configuration of 16 GB with single-channel LPDDR2 memory of 1 GB RAM.
Processor
The Vivo X1 is powered by the MediaTek MT6577 SoC. This SoC featured a dual-core CPU which has two Cortex-A9 cores that are clocked at 1 GHz. The MediaTek MT6577 SoC also comes with the integrated IMG PowerVR SGX531 that operates at 200 MHz.
The Vivo X1S comes with the newer MediaTek MT6589 SoC which featured a quad-core CPU. This CPU has four Cortex-A7 cores that are clocked at 1.2 GHz. The MediaTek MT6589 SoC also comes with the integrated IMG PowerVR SGX544 MP1 that operates at 286 MHz.
Cameras
The Vivo X1 features a 8-megapixel rear-facing camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture including panorama and autofocus, along with a LED flash. Video can be recorded at up to 1080p at 30fps on the camera sensor. The Vivo X1 also features continuous shooting, which allows the phone users to take many photos at one time. The front-facing camera has 1.3 MP resolution with f/2.4 aperture, which can allow the user to record the video at 720p at 30fps.
Battery
The Vivo X1 has a 2000 mAh lithium-ion battery which is non-removable.
Software
The Vivo X1 runs on Funtouch 3D UI powered by Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), while the Vivo X1S has Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) installed.
The Vivo X1 has the ViVoice voice assistant installed, which helps you to make calls, send text messages, play music, open apps, customize schedules, find addresses and other functions. ViVoice also supports offline voice and voice wake-up functions, as well as incoming calls and broadcasting.
