Vlatka Jovanovic (born in Zagreb, Croatia) is an international journalist, reporter, producer and radio personality. She is known for her radio show China Calling on Billboard Radio China[1] (BRC), streaming out of Hong Kong.[2] Before her work on Billboard Radio, she worked for the Hong Kong radio station, GFM.FM.[3] Her show, China Calling[4] was the first radio show outside of mainland China to talk about the Chinese alternative and independent music scene and soon after its first streaming became the lead show on BRC.
Jovanovic landed her first radio job at college radio station KFSR 90.7 in Fresno, California, while still in university. There she developed her on-air personality creating the show Pumping on Your Stereo, playing progressive and alternative rock.

Before turning to journalism, Jovanovic used to play professional tennis and had a WTA[5] (Women's Tennis Association) world ranking.[6]
