Applied Mobile Labs, formerly known as Voicetap Technologies, is a technology company focused on building mobile-based products for education and lead generation, headquartered in Noida, India. [1] It currently operates in India and Kenya and has deployed its products as VAS with three telecom operators, Tata Docomo, Bharti Airtel, and Safaricom.

Products

Applied Mobile Labs has a portfolio of 12 products across various modes, including SMS, IVR, USSD, and Mobile Web.

  1. Tutor On Mobile (M-Learning Platform) is a mobile learning product offering premium educational content and access to a knowledge marketplace. Tutor On Mobile is currently available only to Tata DoCoMo users. Tutor On Mobile was nominated for Best Innovation for Mobile Learning at the GSMA Global Mobile Awards in 2012.
  2. airtel mBazaar is a mobile-based marketplace that allows users to search and connect with local businesses for local services. This service is currently available only to Bharti Airtel users.
  3. English on Mobile is a mobile-based English language learning solution that allows users to learn English with the help of an interactive IVR. This is AMLPL's first operator-agnostic product, accessible to any mobile subscriber. [2]

History

Applied Mobile Labs (erstwhile Voicetap) was founded in March 2009 by Mrigank Tripathi, Vivek Khandelwal, and Devanshu Pandey. Mrigank is now the Founder and CEO of Qustn Technologies in Noida, Devanshu is the CTO of Indear.in in Mumbai, and Vivek continues to work with Applied Mobile Labs.
