The Volunteer Medical Corps is a Christian medical outreach organization under the auspices of the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI).[1][2]

The Volunteer Medical Corps provides communities in need with medical care as well as relief assistance, and it helps the communities establish health care infrastructure.[3]

The organization responds to natural and manmade disasters by providing medical aid and health screenings.[4]

Actions[edit]

In 2017, the Volunteer Medical Corps donated medicine and food to victims of the 2017 Benue State flooding. A team of doctors and nurses was also sent to do medical examinations of the victims, and a drug dispensary unit gave free medicine to more than 3,000 internally displaced persons.[5]

In 2020, the Volunteer Medical Corps donated medical equipment for the care of cancer patients at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.[6]
