VonRyan Elrod Jr., known professionally as VonRyan the Genius, is an American rapper and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Known for his cool get-money persona, his eccentric knack for design and music production, VonRyan the Genius initially rose to popularity in 2021 after the release of his single Scamillionaire, where it garnered attention on Spotify.[1] He signed with The Universe Records in late 2017.

Early life
VonRyan the Genius was born on May 27, 1994[verification needed] in Nashville, Tennessee to an African American father and an African American mother. He moved to Antioch, Tennessee in his teen years and attended Antioch High School where he was expelled and later moved to Columbia, Tennessee where he re-enrolled and graduated school in 2012 at Springhill High School. After graduation, VonRyan moved to Texas to pursue his music career.[1]

Musical style
VonRyan the Genius began making music that had Auto-Tune-laced vocals. In 2021, he transitioned to a style that used "melodic guitar beats", which became an Audiomack staple following the release of Money Man's Grow God. He also adopted a melodic rapping style that has been compared to Money Man, Young Dolph, and Starlito.
