Early life[edit]

Jamalzada Vugar Vagif was born on 9 October 1974 in Baku. He is married and has two children. He studied[disambiguation needed] at secondary school No.3. He entered the piano class of the 7-year music school No. 23 in 1983. In 1991, he entered the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy and graduated from the Department[disambiguation needed] of Energy in 1996. He had started to study in the faculty of composition of Azerbaijan State Music Academy in 1996. His diploma thesis in the bachelor degree in music academy was 3-part symphony for large symphony orchestra while thesis for master degree was 2-part concert for kamancha and symphony orchestra. In 2004, he received the master's degree of music academy. Works: 8 Preludes to F-no (1995); Symphonic landscape (1995); Symphonic Variations (1996); Sonatina in 3 parts for clarinet and f-no (1997); 3-part sonata for cello and f-no (1997); Program symphonic music for BSO (1999); Concerto for kamancha and orchestra (2001); His heart is a fairy tale musical (2011); The Tale of the Magic Bird Nara – musical (2013); Dada Gorgud ballet (2019); as well as music for many plays, movies and series.[2]

He is an associate professor of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.

He was awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of Azerbaijan on 30 December 2015.[3]
