The firm provides an android mobile application as well as a desktop application, called Vyapar, for small businesses to digitize their billing and accounting practices. Background:

Vyapar was founded in 2016 by Sumit Agarwal[2].

Sumit, who comes from a small business family, developed the application along with Shubham Agarwal for people like his father to manage their business better. While the mobile application gained traction among merchants and small businesses, he continued adding new features to help solve business problems.

The firm was bootstrapped for 8 lakhs and in the next year it became self-sustaining.

Funding:

The company had raised 6 Crore in its seed round and reported 500,000 monthly active users on the application.

In 2019, the firm received 36 Crore[3] in Series A Round funding from IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd. Existing investors Axilor Ventures and India Quotient also participated in the funding round.
