WATI (WhatsApp Team Inbox) is a customer communication platform for notifications & reminders, transactional messages on WhatsApp. The Platform was launched in 2020 by Clare.AI, a Hong Kong-based Artificial Intelligence based Digital Assistant Company. The company was founded in 2016 by Bianca Ho and Ken Yeung.

WATI is Business to Business SaaS platform that allows businesses to send and receive text messages, deliver customer service, reminders, notifications and perform other communication functions to their customers via WhatsApp Business Solution. It is a Customer Support Tools that is built on WhatsApp Business APIs. It provides a code-free chatbot integration, multi agent Live Chat support, CRM & various API integrations, and contacts management support. It also allows businesses to track message opening, bounces and chat reports.

Back in 2017, Clare.AI secured an undisclosed amount of funding from SuperCharger Fintech Accelerator.

In 2020, WATI launched a WhatsApp Chatbot in Hong Kong[1] that allows people to check if anyone in their building has COVID 19.

WATI raised its Pre Series-A of funding in July 2021 for an undisclosed amount[2][3][4][5], led by Sequoia Capital India’s Surge.[6]
