Whykay
Whykay (real name Adeyinka Ogunjimi) is a Nigerian music artist, actress, music producer, and content creator from Ondo State, Nigeria. She is known for fusing Afrobeats, rap, and spoken word to deliver bold, creative, and emotionally charged performances.
She was born and raised in Festac Town, Lagos, and is the only girl among three boys. She studied Management and Computer Studies at Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, and is also tech-savvy, editing all her content herself. Her digital creativity is also inspired by her background in product design.
Whykay rose to prominence after winning the African Choice Award for Underground Artist of the Year in 2019. Since then, she has released multiple singles and an EP titled More of Me (2025), which features Nigerian veteran singer DJinee. Some of her most notable tracks include Lagos, Yarn, and Saye.
In addition to music, she has featured in several Nollywood movies and collaborated with popular Nigerian skit creators. She is also a lead cast member of the comedy series Abobi Capri Sun Cruise. Her influence extends into the brand space as well as creating soundtracks, jingles, and influencer content for companies like DKT International and MiGO Mobile.
