WOBB.co (often referred to as WOBB) is an award-winning Malaysian online job search application and website founded in 2014 by Derek Toh. The platform primarily offers job applications that cater to Generation Y and heavily emphasizes the importance of workplace culture and has built its products and services offered revolving around it.[1]

The company also offers a job search application on mobile devices under the same name as they believe that their primary targeted user demographic, the Millennials, are more inclined to spend their time on mobile devices now than other non-mobile platforms.

Products and services[edit]

WOBB offers various products and services that range from online recruitment, employer branding, and hiring event planning.

Online recruitment[edit]

The website offers paid employers to post job requirements and list their available vacancies for pre-screened job seekers on their database to apply for the position with registered accounts that contains their résumé or curriculum vitae.

Employer Branding[edit]

The company specializes on employer branding by allowing companies to communicate their company culture with pictures of the companies' office, video testimonials with the employees, as well as a summary of the companies' values and benefits.[2]

Hiring Event Planning[edit]

WOBB offers event planning services to employers that connect selected pre-screened candidates to meet with employers of the platform. The company dubs these events as "The Awesome Career Fair" that allows hundreds of shortlisted candidates to meet with reputable employers in Malaysia for a more informal career fair setting that typically offers refreshments in unconventional and non-traditional venues.[3]

Mobile Application[edit]

A mobile application for WOBB is available for Android and iOS powered devices with a Tinder like user interface. The company is commonly known as the "Tinder for job search".[4]

WOBB started as a blog in October 2014 focused on the topic and importance of work culture in Malaysia, which the idea has now been continued in spirit at the company's blog at "The Daily WOBB" that provides advise to employers and job seekers through the form of articles and rich media content.

The company then began to provide free online recruitment services in April 2015 to companies through their main web page and the mobile application driven by the mission to aid Malaysian professionals to "find jobs that they love".
