WWE 2K is a video game series published by 2K[1] and developed by Yuke's until 2019.[2] Since then, Visual Concepts developed the games since 2019.[3] The series features a create-a-wrestler (CAW)[4] mode, where players are able to create their own wrestler, including their move set and ring entrances. The feature was introduced when WWF SmackDown! was released in 2000. As new games were released, the mode was altered; the first change came with the release of WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role, which featured a mode in which wrestler taunts could be created and customized. This was further modified in WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth, which enabled players to create the walking style of a wrestler.[5]

With the release of WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006[6], the game first featured the ability for players to make an entrance for the created superstar.[7] The feature was expanded with the release of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007, as players could place pyrotechnics and special effects in any part of the superstar's entrance.[8] With the release of WWE 2K15,[9] Face scan was introduced, making faces look more like its original counterpart. As the games progressed, the games gotten and better and better creation suite over the years.[10]

Creation Suite[edit]

Create a Wrestler (CAW)[edit]

Created Wrestlers[10] is a way to create custom wrestlers. Most CAWs are real-life wrestlers that are absent in the game like CM Punk, and Sting.[11][12] CAWs can be downloaded via Community Creations. You can add custom logos to it by uploading a image to the official WWE 2K website.

Create a Finisher (CAF)[edit]

Create a Finisher was a way to create your own finishers which first appeared in SmackDown vs. Raw 2009.[13] It was apart of the creation suite before being removed in WWE 2K18.[14] The last appearance of Create a Finisher was WWE 2K17 on 7th Gen Consoles.[15]

Create an Arena (CAA)[edit]

Create an Arena is a way to create custom arenas which first appeared on WWE '12.[16][17] Most Custom Arenas are old-school arenas that are absent in the game (like AEW Dynamite and WrestleMania 30) [18][19]

Create a Championship[edit]

Create a Championship is a way to create custom belts which first appeared on WWE '13.[20] You can also edit pre-existing championships to give it a different color, or you can just make your own custom one and make it based off a real championship like AEW World Championship.[21]

Create an Money in the Bank (CAMITB)[edit]

Since 2018, you could make custom Money in the Bank briefcases. They arent used much in the Community creations.

Community Creations[edit]

Community Creations (CC) allows everybody to share their creations for the community to download.[22] Gamers may upload their creations like Wrestlers, Arenas, Championships and Money in the Bank briefcases. Most Community Creations servers has shut down[23][24][25][26][27], meaning many created user content lost to time.

SmackTalks, a WWE 2K Content Creator made lists about the best Community creations content,[28][29] including other news reporters.[11][12] [30]
