Wagon Restaurant is a Lithuanian punk rock band from Kaunas, Lithuania, formed in 1990.
The majority of their songs are in Lithuanian, but they have also performed songs entirely or partially in other languages, including English, French, and Russian. Wagon Restaurant has released one studio album: Miegojau prie stalo restorane (2018), with a new album planned for release in 2019.
History
Founding (1990–2002)
In 1990, lead vocalist Vilius Cucėnas started playing acoustic guitar and participating in student gatherings as a musician. At that time, he was heavily influenced by Viktor Tsoi (Kino)'s music, from which he got his nickname "Tsoi".
Lyrics
Nearly all of Wagon Restaurant's songs are in Lithuanian. The song "Miegojau prie stalo restorane" has a version entirely in Russian.[1]
