Warsha is a 2022 Lebanese short film directed by Dania Bdeir[1]. The fifteen-minute short, which follows a migrant worker in Beirut[2], was filmed in the same city, where director Dania Bdeir was raised[3]. The short has been presented in a number of festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival[4], Tampere Film Festival[5]. The film also won different awards including the award for best international short at Short Short Japan Film Festival[6].
Plot
In Beirut, a migrant construction worker volunteers to operate the most dangerous crane in the city. Away from everyone’s eyes, a secret passion takes flight.
