The Wasia Project is a British band based in London, in the United Kingdom. The lineup consists of Olivia Hardy (lead vocals), Will Gao, Luca Wade (drums), and Tom Pacitti (bass)...[1]
The band has released four singles and one extended play, and as of June 2022 has over 170,000 monthly listeners on the Spotify platform.[2]
History
The Wasia Project was formed by siblings Olivia Hardy and Will Gao in 2019. Classical training and mixed British-Asian heritage inspired them to write songs that contain elements of jazz, bedroom pop, and classical music.[1]
They have since performed at Boxpark Croydon[3] and The Fiddler (Kilburn)[4]
They have gained increased notoriety since Will Gao's role as Tao Xu in the Netflix show Heartstopper.[citation needed]
As of June 2022, they have around 65,700 Instagram followers[5], and have just launched a Twitter account, with a rapidly growing following of over 10,000[6]
