Wasl Asset Management Group

Wasl Asset Management Group is a semi-government entity and subsidiary of Dubai Real Estate Corporation (DREC).[1][2] Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, the company oversees the development and management of assets of Dubai Real Estate Corporation.[3][4] The company was established in 2008 following the merger of Dubai Development Board and Real Estate Department.[5] Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai,[6] is the present chairman and Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim is the CEO of the company.[7][1]

Hotels[edit]

Wasl manages some of the largest hotels chains in Dubai including Hampton by Hilton Dubai Airport,[8] and Grand Hyatt Dubai.[1][3][2] A new Andaz brand from Hyatt hotels is also under construction at Palm Jumeirah by Wasl.[9][10]

Wasl Properties[edit]

Wasl Properties is the property management division of the organization. It has more than 47,000 residential and retail units under lease, and an industrial zones management arm that holds 5,500 plots of land.[8][11]
