Wells Town F.C.
Wells Town Football Club is a football club based in Wells-Next-The-Sea, England. Affiliated to the Norfolk County Football Association, they are currently members of the Anglian Combination First Division and play at Beach Road.
History
The Football Club was established in 1903. They first joined the current Anglian Combination League in the 1996–97 season and started in the Second Division. Wells gained back-to-back promotions in the 1997–98 season, where they became champions of Division 2, and the 1998–99 season, promoting them to the Anglian Combination Premier Division for the first time. In 2010–11, Wells Town F.C. regained promotion back into the Anglian Combination Premier Division for the first time in 7 years following relegation from the Premier Division in 2004–05. In 2020–21, Wells earned promotion back to Division One following their run of results in the abandoned season due to COVID-19. As well as promotion, Wells won the Norfolk Junior Cup for the first time since 1999, after defeating Reepham Town F.C. 2–1 in the Final which was held at The FDC, Norwich.
