Werner Bürger (born 23 April 1958) is a German football coach. He played for FC Konstanz and SC Pfullendorf. With both teams he had appearances in the German Cup (Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Homburg). At the age of 28 he became coach in Romanshorn Switzerland. His actuell club is FC DAC 1904 in Slovakia Fortuna Liga (1. League). He was previously a coach at MTK Budapest[1], where he reached the qualifiers for Europa League against Vojvodina Novisad (Serbia)

In 2008, he became assistant manager under manager Csaba Laszlo at Hearts of Midlothian F.C. in the Scottish Premier League. In 2009 Hearts reached the Europa League Play Off games against Dinamo Zagreb. For a short period he was with Dundee United FC.

Before he was Technical Director at FC Schaffhausen (Switzerland). Between 2000 - 2002 he was coach of FC Kreuzlingen Switzerland. During his time with Red Star Zurich ( 1997 - 1999) he reached the semifinal of the Swiss Cup. He also had a period of working for the German Football Association DFB and their under-15 to under-19 youth setup.
