Wes Hightower is an American country music singer and songwriter from Weatherford, Texas. He began his career in Nashville in 1993, providing background vocals on recordings and demos. In addition to contributing to many #1 hits through the years, Hightower released his own album, "Good News", which he co-produced with Jimmy Ritchey in 2016.[1]
Career[edit]
Wes Hightower has been a member of the Ace in the Hole band since 1999, touring as a back-up vocalist for country music legend George Straight from 1996-2006 and 2016-present. To date he's sung on 156 #1 US country singles, some of which have also been #1 pop chart crossover hits as well.[2] His vocal talents have earned him multi-year accolades (14 times) as recipient of MusicRow's All-Star Musicians Award.
As a songwriter, Hightower has written songs recorded by popular country music artists Gary Allen, Montgomery Gentry, Sammy Kershaw, Josh Thompson and Gene Watson as well as several independent Texas artists.[3]
