White Paper Games Ltd is a British video game developer based in Manchester.
History[edit]
The studio was founded in 2012 by Pete Bottomley and Benjamin Hill.[1] The studio's stated vision is to create games with "compelling narratives" that "respects your time, values your input & questions your understanding through the power of player-driven storytelling."[2]
The studio's first release, Ether One, a first-person puzzle game, took around three years to create and was released for PC in 2014. It was released on PlayStation 4 the following year, but had to be rebuilt in rebuilt from scratch in Unreal Engine 4.[3] This updated version was also released on PC as Ether One - Redux.[4]
The Occupation, the studio's next title, a "first-person, fixed-time, investigative thriller", was released in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.[5]
Their third title, Conway: Disappearance at Dahlia View, is described as a "story-driven thriller" heavily-inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window.[6] It was released on PC in 2021, with a console release due to follow.[7]
