WikiDict Dictionary is an English, Sinhalese electronic dictionary for education and language development purposes. The dictionary was distributed as freeware and initially released on December 15, 2014, by Kasun K Herath[1][2]. The dictionary contains over 260,000 definitions, including various technical terms in English, Sinhalese and Tamil.
The intuitive software is a comprehensive educational dictionary that provides the definitions of terms used in different fields, including Agriculture, Archaeology, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, History, Information Technology, Law, Medicine, Physics and Zoology.
Development[edit]
Kasun K Herath has developed a Computer program in Microsoft Visual Studio C# for an English Sinhalese Dictionary. The dictionary was distributed as freeware[3][4] and initially released on December 15, 2014. The stable release of the WikiDict is version 2.5 and it contains Tamil-English translations for Engineering technical terms.
