Wild World is the planned third studio album by Wild Wes. It is to be released sometime in 2021, possibly shortly after Wild Wes' hiatus.
Despite the whole album being recorded and finished in 2020 and very early 2021, the album didn't drop until late 2021.
When the album dropped, Wild Wes planned a surprise.
Background
Wild Wes decided to plan for a third album before he was completely finished with his second album, Moonquake. So he got to work to find more beats that he enjoys. Wild Wes started recording the album on November 1st of 2020, while writing for the album throughout October of 2020.
Wild Wes also stated that Wild World is like Moonquake 2!
Wild Wes told his followers on Twitter, two weeks after Moonquake dropped, that he was going to change his voice a bit.
Wild Wes also produced a few tracks off the album; this was due to him wanting to produce again.
The album has the same Carti-like feel as in Moonquake.
Wild Wes took a whole month to make this album.
Wild Wes also told his followers that he put a lot of time and effort into this project.
The album went through several changes before it released. It was only going to have 11 tracks with mostly YoSa production, then it changed into 26 tracks with way more producers, as seen by the different producers listed in the track listing, and then the lengthy tracklist got shortened down to only 15 tracks. Then Wild Wes wanted to make it short and sweet and got inspiration from the Tay-K project, SantanaWorld (+).
Singles
There were only 3 singles that dropped before Eclipse dropped.
New Ice Pt. II, the lead single, dropped on January 8th of 2021.
Moonshine dropped on August 6th of 2021.
Lotto dropped on November 19th of 2021, one week before the album dropped.
