Wildlife Biology is a monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the Nordic Society Oikos since 1994 [1][2]. To increase its scientific impact, the journal merged with the Game and Wildlife Sciences journal in 2005.[3]

The journal covers a broad concept of wildlife management, including all policies and actions with the purpose of conservation, sustainable use, or control of wildlife and its habitats, in order to safeguard sustainable relationships between wildlife and other human interests. Wildlife Biology is, therefore, a high-quality scientific forum directing concise and up-to-date knowledge to scientists, administrators, wildlife managers and conservationists.[2][4]

Wildlife Biology is published in collaboration with Oikos, Journal of Avian Biology, Nordic Journal of Botany, Lindbergia and Ecography. It is available as an open-access publication via Wiley.[1][5]

According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has an impact factor of 2.2 as of 2021, ranking it 108th out of 174 journals in the category "Ecology" [6][1]
